Abstract
The purpose of this study was to develop an efficient micropropagation system for Vaccinium vitis-idaea L. cv. 'Koralle' and 'Red Pearl'. Various concentrations of zeatin and 2iP were tested in Anderson medium (AN) to study their effect on regeneration ability for multiple shoot proliferation and propagation of two cultivars. Zeatin was more effective in cv. 'Koralle' and 0.75 mg l-1 was found to be optimum for inducing maximum number of shoots. Higher multiplication effect was observed in cv. 'Red Pearl' after aplication of both zeatin and 2iP. However multiplication rate was not affected by the duration of cultivation.
Key words: micropropagation, Vaccinium vitis-idaea L.
