Abstract
Buds and isolated meristems of highbush blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum L. ) were used as primary explants for tissue culture establishment. Explants were cultured on AN medium (Anderson 1980) supplemented with zeatin (0.5-2.0 mgl-1). Influence of zeatin on the multiple shoot induction was searched in cultivar 'Duke'. Zeatin showed positive influence on intensity of the shoot proliferation and shoot growth at the first stage of culture. The highest multiplication effect was achieved on the medium with the highest concentration of zeatin. Comparison of regeneration ability in cultivar 'Duke' with 'Berkeley', 'Blueray', 'Bluecrop' and 'Darrow' confirmed that 'Duke' disposes with good regeneration capacity. Results of experiments showed that micro-clonal propagation can be successfully used for production of large number of plants for commercial growing.

Key words: Vaccinium corymbosum L., tissue culture, shoot proliferation, clonal micropropagation
